Space week

As part of space week it was our mission to create a rocket using Tangrams. Many of us completed our mission.



We did an experiment using fruits to see the size of the planets in relation to each other. First we were given some clues to help us out. We tried to figure out which was the biggest-smallest.
 

We figured it out! Mercury is the smallest planet- the closet to the sun- the size of a peppercorn. Next we had Venus and Earth, similar in size- the size of a cherry tomato. Then we had Mars, the size of a blueberry. The next is the biggest planet- Jupiter, the size of a watermelon. Saturn followed after, the size of a grapefruit. Uranus is next, the size of an apple. The planet the furtherest from the Sun is Neptune, the size of a lime
